DAN'S BIO

Dan's EP, Let Me Out, turns 10 this year and he is celebrating with a 10 year anniversary release that will include demos and commentary.

Dan released his first single in 6 years in February called Let It Go. It's quickly approaching 20,000 streams on Spotify.

Lie To Me was recorded and self produced at his home studio.  It is a digital only release and is available worldwide.

Dan’s debut EP Staring With My Eyes Closed was released in 2005.  Being produced by Juno Award winner John Webster, it saw three singles released. The second single, Smile was licenced to the Global and ABC series Falcon Beach which went on to be licenced in over 30 countries.

His sophmore EP was produced by Joby Baker who’s worked with artists like The Cowboy Junkies, Alex Cuba and The Paperboys. The song Shattered Dan wrote about a friend who went through a tough time with drugs.  He made a video for the song that has facts about Crystal Meth.  Half of the money from the downloads of the song is being donated to The Crystal Meth Society of BC.   Shattered and Maybe both saw airplay on Hot AC stations across Canada.

In 2006 he was a finalist in The David Foster Star Search in BC.

This all led to him opening for some bigger names in Canadian music.  Bands like Jets Overhead, Maurice, Tom Hooper (x-Grapes of Wrath), Winston and two sold out shows for Matthew Good.  He also got to sing the Beatle songs Drive My Car and I Feel Fine with Tal Bachman at a recent gig.

11 years ago he decided to pick up the bass and start some of Victoria's best cover bands.  Younger Than Yesterday, Rock of Ages and Free Ride. He also play Benjamin Orr in a Cars tribute called Moving in Stereo.

After all these gigs it was time to get back to his own music.

Lie To Me is the 8th release on Dan’s own label Solo Records.
